The streets of Britain's cities were thronging with revellers for a fourth night in a row yesterday as people took advantage of the soaring temperatures and the promise of a Monday off work to let their hair down.

Temperatures peaked at 25C (77F) yesterday - giving partygoers in cities including Manchester, Birmingham and Blackpool the perfect reason to celebrate.
