Toney Ray Johnson, 48, was spotted by a Marshall County sheriff's deputy standing beside a motorcycle in the middle of White Elephant Road on Monday. 'It appeared the subject was having trouble cranking the motorcycle,' a sheriff's office press statement reads. After a brief chase, Johnson's motorcycle stalled out on Word Mountain Road. The deputy approached Johnson for a second time and saw the man trying to eat what appeared to be a plastic bag. The man struggled with the deputy and the deputy was forced to tase him, authorities said. Johnson was then arrested and booked on multiple charges. He was charged with attempting to elude law enforcement, resisting arrest, tampering with physical evidence, unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Johnson is being held at the Marshall County jail with a bail set at $12,500.
