Seven-month-old baby dies at California daycare center where staff were previously cited for spraying BLEACH on children's hands leaving them swollen and covered in welts The baby stopped breathing at Swoope Family Child Care at 5.30pm Wednesday Police arrived and pronounced the infant dead at the scene immediately  The daycare has received complaints twice in the last three years  In 2016, owner Angela Swoope admitted spraying bleach on a child's hands She said she misunderstood her training and was trying to clean the child In 2017, the center received a different complaint of a child suffering bruises Police are investigating the baby's death but no arrests have been made

A seven-month-old baby has died at a California daycare center where staff have previously been cited for spraying bleach on infants' hands, leaving them swollen and covered in welts.  

The baby has not been identified. It was pronounced dead at the Swoope Family Child Care in Hawthorne, California, on Wednesday afternoon. 

Paramedics were called to the center at 5.30pm after the baby stopped breathing.
