A seven-month-old baby has died at a California daycare center where staff have previously been cited for spraying bleach on infants' hands, leaving them swollen and covered in welts.
The baby has not been identified. It was pronounced dead at the Swoope Family Child Care in Hawthorne, California, on Wednesday afternoon.
Paramedics were called to the center at 5.30pm after the baby stopped breathing.
