Kenneth Keaton, 50, reportedly ran over the bartender in the parking lot of the Fin n’ Feather in Greenfield on March 14. According to a police report, Keaton had been ‘loud and disruptive’ inside the bar before attempting to bring his dog inside. When the bartender told him he wasn’t allowed back inside with the pooch, he reportedly turned around and went back outside, following a heated exchange. It was there, the man says, that as he walked within five feet Keaton’s car the 50-year-old ‘gunned it’ and accelerated towards him. The alleged victim says he was struck by the car, causing him to fly up onto the hood and sufferer a minor injury to his elbow. It’s then said Keaton promptly sped away from the scene. The bartender said that as he walked outside within five feet Keaton’s car, the 50-year-old ‘gunned it’ and accelerated towards him, knocking him onto the hood and hurting his elbow Witnesses recorded his license plate number and relayed the information to the police. The bartender then identified Keaton as the suspect after searching through a number of photos, officers say. Keaton has an extensive rap-sheet dating back to 1997, including prison terms for driving while intoxicated and for battery. He now faces a felony charge of hit-and-run causing injury.
