Michelle Obama has celebrated college signing day with thousands of screaming students during a high-energy appearance at UCLA with a host of other celebrities.
The former first lady took to the stage wearing a Compton College shirt on Wednesday as she congratulated high school students who have chosen to go to college.
Obama started the college signing day event back in 2014 with Reach Higher - the organization she founded as first lady to inspire students to attend college, a training program or join the military.
Taking to the stage to deafening cheers from the 10,000 students, Obama said she was proud of all of the students for choosing to further their education.
The former first lady took to the stage wearing a Compton College shirt on Wednesday at UCLA after being introduced by TV host Conan O'Brien
'I want you all to know you personally are about to make the best investment that you can possibly make,' she said.
'That's true whether you're going to a trade school, or to the military or to a community college or to a four-year university.'
Obama pointed out that she was wearing a Compton College shirt because she wanted to give community colleges 'a little extra love'.
