A student returned to university after the Easter break to find a pigeon had begun raising a family in his room.  

Video shows bird poo and feathers scattered across the Sheffield Hallam University accommodation, and a pigeon perched on a nest with two eggs.

Ben Wise, 19, had left his window open to 'keep the air fresh', and now has a long-term room mate named Danny Devito after the famous actor.

Scanning his phone around the room, Ben can be heard saying 'Tell me why a bird has f****** gotten into my room and s*** everywhere while I've been at home?'.

The camera pans around the Devonshire Courtyard student room, showing bird poo on the desk, bed, carpet and windowsill.
