And this video shows the circle of life at its most heart-breaking as a baby duckling was snatched in front of its mother by a crow. The video was captured near Le Bons Villers in Belgium last week. It shows a group of ducklings waddling around on a grassy garden while the person filming is stationed inside. They then quickly form a queue facing the mother on the other side of the fence. But all of a sudden, a black crow swoops down and snatches one of the young ducklings. The mother duck flaps its wings on the other side of the fence but fails to scare off the crow who flies away. The crow holds the duckling in its beak and perches on the fence. The duckling appears conscious and can be seen flailing its feet while still clasped inside the beak of the crow.
