A bounce house at a Washington state high school ended up being carried more than 240 feet by a freak gust of wind leaving five students injured.

Zillah High School was hosting a student body event when the weather suddenly took a turn for the worse.

A 'strong whirlwind' picked up the bouncy house on the football field, reportedly lifting it 10 to 20 feet into the air before it crashed down 240 feet away.

Witnesses said that the students were belted into the ride before it became airborne on the Zillah football field on Wednesday afternoon.
