Alabama state lawmaker Rep. John Rogers is defending his controversial statements on abortion and is firing back at his critics including Donald Trump Jr - slamming him as 'retarded' and saying his mother should have aborted him.
On Tuesday Alabama passed a measure that will criminalize nearly all abortion in the state.
Before the measure passed in a stunning 74-3 vote, Rogers, a 78-year-old Democrat, voiced his opposition saying with a controversial statement saying, 'Some kids are unwanted. So you kill them now or you kill them later.'
Don Jr then blasted Rogers' statement on Wednesday on Twitter writing, 'This is stomach curling and makes Ralph Northam look like a moderate on abortion.'
'Every Democrat running for President needs to be asked where they stand on this. The extreme turn we've seen from Dems on abortion recently is truly sickening,' he continued.
In an interview WVTM 13 on Thursday Rogers hit right back at the president's son, saying he should have been aborted himself.
