Video footage shows the baby 'gator – measuring up at six-and-half-feet - climbing up the front of her house to reach the buzzer but thankfully Karen Alfano was not home. Karen Alfano saw a six-and-half-foot alligator outside her South Carolina home Wednesday She returned to Myrtle Beach Golf and Yacht Club to find it crawling up the exterior She appeared not to be alarmed and filmed the peculiar incident in Myrtle Beach on her cell phone. In the video she's heard saying: 'Oh my god can you believe that?' She asks someone else to come see what she's seeing but simply replies 'oh' when the other calm person seems to be preoccupied. 'It's just incredible,' she adds, unstirred. 'It was like the coolest thing that could ever possibly happen to you,' Alfano told ABC News 15. 'Some of the neighbors were scared. I just thought it was a great adventure.' The new resident called it the 'coolest thing that could ever possibly happen' Alligator scratched shelves and the walkway on front of Myrtle Beach home before giving up It seems security at Myrtle Beach Golf and Yacht Club where she recently moved was equally intrigued. Alfano said they 'didn't even bother, they were taking pictures' and instead called in back-up. Luckily the alligator didn't manage to break her hurricane widow but it did scratch up the shelves and walkway on the home's exterior. The clip shows it trying repeatedly to grip the front of the house to remain upright but slipping down. It eventually retires and opts just to rest on the floor. The station also reported a similar incident just miles away with Murrells Inlet residents Brick Graham and John Davin. They noticed a 10ft 3in alligator in a neighbor's backyard. 'There's the biggest gator I've ever seen in this neighborhood,' Graham recalled about the moment he saw it. 'It was real fat... I don't know what it was, but he was full.'
