Dolly Parton's Nashville home where she lived as a global sensation is on sale ...

Dolly Parton's former south Nashville house has been put up for sale for over $1million with the potential to become a museum or venue.

The '9 to 5' singer's former property at 3146 Glencliff Road has been listed at $1.1million despite being sold in 1997 - a year after Parton moved out - for $140,000.

The four-bedroom property, built in 1941, includes a guest house, 2.4 acres of woodland, a walk-in wardrobe and has much of the same themes as when Parton, 73, lived in it such as a shed built for the star's nieces and nephews.

The second floor is 'identical' to how it was during Parton's 16 years there, but the current homeowner has developed the main bathroom, kitchen and added a 1,500 square foot guest house which was said to be perfect for a venue.

It also features a carport, which can house four vehicles, as well as a drive that can fit about eight tour buses.

Legendary country singer Parton is believed to have lived in the house from 1980 to 1996 with her husband Carl Dean.
