Local resident Irina Leskovets was at the scene moments after the girl crashed 'safely' on the henhouse. 'We heard the sound of metal, some sort of bump,' she said. 'We rushed outside, the children said something had fallen down - a balloon. 'I did not realise there could be people, but when we ran there there was a girl in a basket. 'We pulled her out, she was scared, shivering and all pale. We took her home, gave her some water and calmed her down.' She added: 'We rang her parents straight away and told them she was alive.' The balloon flew towards the Black Sea but crashed again on to a henhouse and the girl was found 'scared, shivering and all pale' Police and emergency services soon arrived at the scene. 'All the adults fell out and she, apparently because she was light, remained in the basket and it was taken up again.' When the ballooning instructor arrived at the crash site, he 'was white as a sheet, and the parents ran with him' Artyom Kol, a correspondent of Vesti Crimea, said: 'It flew for about 10-12 kilometres and landed some 500 metres away from the sea - on a henhouse.
