Twitter users are trolling the University of Southern California Women's Rowing team after a poster from last year resurfaced stating that they were holding try outs and didn't require any previous experience to win a place on the team.

Many users on Monday were angry at the Los Angeles college's poster stating that information meetings were being held in Heritage Hall Lobby in August 2018 - 'NO PREVIOUS ROWING EXPERIENCE NECESSARY'.

Full House actress Lori Loughlin and her fashion designer husband Mossimo Giannulli pleaded not guilty last month to accusations that they paid $500,000 to get their daughters into the rowing team at USC.

It's claimed Isabella and her younger sister Olivia Jade got in despite having no rowing experience.

A tweet from the USC sports team on the first day of try outs in 2018 reads: 'Want to become a Division I athlete? Look into joining our Trojan Rowing Family!'

It shows a poster that shares the email address of assistant rowing coach, Emily Barber.

Many social media users were fuming in the wake of a college admissions sandal exposed by the FBI's Operation Varsity Blues, which alleges a number of students across the country got into schools with the help of bribe money.

'No previous rowing experience necessary and Lori Loughlin still paid half a million so her lazy ass daughter didn't have to do anything,' one account replied.

A user on the microblogging site joked: 'I don't think Olivia jade would be a good rower. She is already up a s**t creek without a paddle.'

'Must donate 500K roses *wink wink*,' another said in jest.

One tweeter wrote: 'What kinda deposit is required, I am a 51 year old fat bald Male with gray hair, do I have a chance?'

A social media user replied to the tweet: 'Do you have $500K?'

A woman who feels close to the matter posted online: 'As a USC alum and a parent and coach to many collegiate athletes, I find this entire episode disturbing and disgusting yet not surprising.'

However some people pointed out the posters could just be an innocent opportunity for students who hadn't learned the skill earlier.

'It's true. You don't need high school rowing experience to walk on crew in college. It is an easy sport to 'learn' that rewards intense training and teamwork.,' the social media user posted. 'Wouldn't make what allegedly happened right, but facts.'
