Lou Diamond Phillips rebukes Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman for college ...

Hollywood star Lou Diamond Phillips has launched an astonishing attack on the famous names linked to the college admissions scandal - proudly proclaiming his own children 'can hold their heads high, because they don't cheat, they don't lie and they don't misrepresent themselves.'

Phillips came out firing against some of Hollywood's major names linked to the scandal, telling DailyMailTV: 'Unfortunately we are seeing a lot of people who want to duck responsibility these days.'

The father-of-four's comments are a clear public shot at Desperate Housewives actress Felicity Huffman and Fuller House star Lori Loughlin, who are among nearly three dozen parents charged in the fraud scheme to get their children into elite colleges and universities.

Phillips, 57, added: 'I am saddened, because I have respect for some of the people involved. But it did remind me that I am quite proud that my own children have made their own way.'

Huffman, along with 13 other parents, agreed to plead guilty to bribery and other forms of fraud.

Fuller House star Loughlin and her fashion designer husband, Mossimo Giannulli are fighting federal prosecutors in the U.S. Attorney's Office in Boston, which oversees the investigation.

Phillips says he is 'saddened' at the revelations adding the accusations seem 'grounded and founded'.

The actor said he was proud of his own children, twin daughters Gracie and Isabella (both aged 21) and Lili, 19, with his ex wife Kelly Phillips, and Indigo, 11, with current wife Yvonne Boismier Phillips.

The actor added: 'Isabella just got into a college based on her grades.

'They are all working, working their own jobs to able to pay for their tuition.

'When they have acting advice they give me a call, but they won't let dad give them any shortcuts.

'So I can only hope things that I taught them early on in life gave them a foundation and pointed them in the right direction.

'They can hold their heads high, because they don't cheat, they don't lie and they don't misrepresent themselves.'
