A New York high school principal from Long Island is facing accusations that he groomed an 18-year-old student for sex through explicit text messages and semi-naked selfies, and then assaulted her in his office on campus last week.
According to court documents filed on Monday by plaintiff’s attorney John Ray on behalf of his client, Riverhead High School Principal Charles Regan, 48, 'targeted this particularly vulnerable girl in school' for months.
A statement released by the lawyer said that Regan, who is married and has been the principal of the Suffolk County school since 2013, sent the alleged victim, a senior, a pornographic meme and a photo of himself covering his privates with a pink towel.

Stapon and her lawyer shared with the media a selfie that Regan had allegedly sent her, which purports to show the man in the shower with only a towel covering his genitals
Regan also ‘encouraged her to masturbate, then sexually assaulted her in his office last Monday,' alleged the attorney, who is expected to file a civil lawsuit against the Riverhead Central School District and the principal seeking $10million.
During a bombshell press conference held on Monday, Ray's client, Anastasia Stapon, spoke out publicly about her alleged ordeal, as Riverhead News-Review reported.
‘I am here to expose this evil dirty man,' Stapon, who was adopted from Russia by a same-sex couple from Long Island, told reporters. ‘I am a victim. The Riverhead police have done nothing. Charles Regan and the Riverhead school have destroyed me.’
