Avocado prices in New Zealand have hit a record high of $10 a piece, causing some restaurants to take guacamole off their menus.
Last month saw an all-time high of $5 a piece, but that's nothing compared to this week's hike.
The price rise has left shoppers bewildered at the checkout, and forced restaurants to take avocado-based dishes from their menus, NZ Herald reported.

Auckland Mexican restaurant La Fuente announced at the end of February it would no longer be offering guacamole on their menu until further notice.
La Fuente co-owner Edmundo Farrera said the decision to remove the staple dish from the menu came as a result of not wanting to over-charge customers.
Mr Farrera and his wife Anna opened the eatery last November and, after noticing avocado prices continued to rise, they decided to axe the dish from their menu.
