The Queen has been seen with Prince Philip for the first time since his car accident in a rare public appearance. 

The Duke of Edinburgh, 97, joined the Queen, 93, at a lunch for members of the Order of Merit at Windsor Castle today. 

The royal couple, who have just become great-grandparents for the eighth time following the arrival of Baby Sussex, posed for a group photograph before the Queen was quizzed on the newest addition to the family by one of the guests.
