Dramatic video shows the moment a K-9 unit German Shepherd bit a domestic violence suspect who was fleeing from police.   

The incident occurred in suburban Sioux Falls on the afternoon of May 3, after cops were called by a woman who claimed that the man, Dylan Ites, 27, had choked her. 

A neighbor filmed the arrest, before posting the footage on social media where it has been viewed tens of thousands of times. 

The clip begins with Ites sitting in a window well as an officer holds the barking K-9 unit dog, named Spike. 

Demanding that Ites remove himself from the well and hand himself in, the cop warns: 'Get out dude, or you're gonna get bit!'
