A police hunt is underway for the 'lowlife' who shot a cat in the face with a crossbow bolt and left it fighting for its life. 

On Monday Howell Police responded to a call of an injured 'community cat' between 640-660 Casino Drive and later rushed the feline to a veterinary hospital where the bolt was successfully removed.

According to authorities, the feline, which has since been named Kitty Luck and is now being cared for in a shelter, is thought to have been shot with a hand-held crossbow.
