A grandmother who collided with a police car when she fell asleep at the wheel has revealed she can't stop re-watching the shocking crash video. 

The police car's harrowing dash-cam footage shows Sandra Fisk cross onto the wrong side of the Pacific Highway near Illuka, northern New South Wales, and slam into the parked highway patrol car head-on. 

The crash happened in December last year when Ms Fisk and her two step-grandchildren were about 30 minutes into their journey towards Sydney. 

Ms Fisk says she keeps a video of the moment she nearly died on her phone and regularly watches it back despite becoming distressed.

'It makes me cry every time,' she told 10 Daily.
