A Russian state television channel was accused of fabricating an interview after it posted comments from a singer who died in 2015 on its website.
Zvezda, the channel of the Russian defence ministry, said it had spoken to opera singer Elena Obraztsova at the funeral of prominent journalist Sergei Dorenko on Sunday.
However, the station was ridiculed on social media after many users pointed out that Obraztsova died four years ago in Germany.

The channel of the Russian defence ministry later attributed the quotes to Obraztsova's daughter before taking the story down and releasing an apology
Zvezda quoted Elena Obraztsova as saying that Mr Dorenko - a fierce critic of President Vladimir Putin - was an 'uncompromising journalist', who either 'spoke the truth or did not speak at all'.
The story claims that the interview took place at Troyekurovskoye Cemetery in Moscow, where Dorenko was due to be buried.
However, subsequent reports state that the journalist's funeral was delayed after his elder daughters asked for further
