Actor Tim Conway's wife and daughter were involved in a legal battle over his care in the final months of his life before his death on Tuesday.
The Emmy award-winning comedian's wife Charlene and daughter Kelly, eventually settled a dispute over his medical care in March this year.
In August, Kelly, who's mother is Conway's first wife Mary Ann Dalton, filed documents to become named her father’s conservator and to take control of his treatment.
This included giving him his medications for dementia. She simultaneously asked for a temporary restraining order against her step-mother Charlene.
However lawyers for both parties confirmed Charlene's appointment as her 85-year-old husband's conservator, with the action first reported by PEOPLE.
Conway died Tuesday morning in a Los Angeles care facility, according to Howard Bragman, who heads LaBrea Media.
Charlene Conway, and a daughter, Jackie, were at his side. The cause was a disorder in which there is an excess of fluid on the brain, Bragman said.

Kelly disagreed with Charlene’s plan to 'move [Tim] out of the excellent skilled nursing facility he is currently at' and admit him somewhere without 'registered nurses at all times and his 24-hour caregiver and speech therapist [to help with swallowing],' PEOPLE reported last August.
She claimed that her father was 'almost entirely unresponsive, adding that he could no longer 'properly provide for his personal needs for physical health, food, and clothing.'
The legal fight continued when Fusco accused Kelly of having relied on a false medical record and breached her father's right to medical privacy, according to AOL.com.
