A Greens candidate who told Christian university students their beliefs were a 'joke' has refused to apologise for his expletive-laden rant.
Connor Parissis, 21, who is running for the inner-west Sydney seat of Barton, was filmed yelling abuse at Christian students at the University of Sydney in 2017.
'Shut the f**k up,' Mr Parissis was heard saying in the video to students handing out 'Vote No' pamphlets.
'Go back to church … You know who's a joke? Your f..king beliefs.'
In an explosive statement posted online on Thursday, Mr Parissis doubled down on his criticism, slamming the students for using faith as a 'masquerade for bigotry'.

'Vote No campaigners at Sydney University set up a stall without permission, telling passerby's that marriage equality would lead to legalised paedophilia and beastiality,' he claimed.

He went on to claim the footage was edited by 'right-wing' Verum Media to omit the 'Vote No' campaigners' 'heinous comments and insults' to further their own agenda.
