Former wrestling legend Ric Flair underwent successful heart surgery on Monday.
His wife, Wendy Barlow, said Flair was in an Atlanta recovery room.
‘Doctors said the procedure was a success,’ she told TMZ on Monday.
Flair had been hospitalized in Atlanta because of an unspecified medical issue.
According to TMZ, Flair, 70, was taken to the emergency room due to a 'very serious' medical emergency.
Flair was reportedly scheduled to undergo the operation on Friday, but 'complications' arose, forcing doctors to postpone the surgery until Monday.
However, his son-in-law Conrad Thompson told https://twitter.com/SeanRossSapp/status/1129070551048380416 that Flair underwent a planned procedure and his situation 'is not as grave or serious' as the TMZ report makes it seem.
'This was not a last-minute surprise surgery,' said Thompson, who is married to Flair's daughter Megan.
