Oprah Winfrey clapped back at a critic who slammed her commencement speech in Colorado on Sunday for not following the example of billionaire investor Robert Smith and pledging to pay off the graduating class' student loans.

The famed TV show host and philanthropist delivered a powerful speech to the graduating class of 571 students at Colorado College and handed out free copies of her book, The Path Made Clear.

But one follower said she should have 'paid of their student debt' instead of handing out books.

Winfrey swiftly replied: 'Already paid 13million in scholarships. Have put over 400 men through @morehouse1867'
