Nine Network journalist Reid Butler was chasing a man whose daughter Lydia Abdelmalek has been found guilty of impersonating and stalking other women outside a Melbourne court on Tuesday. Butler scurried behind the man in a desperate bid to get some answers about his daughter's crimes. 'Do you realise someone has taken their own life here,' Mr Butler asked the man, who remained silent. At one point the man, who was carrying a black brolly in his right hand, opened the umbrella without realising it had hit Butler in the face. Butler was taken back by the sudden hit. 'Excuse me', Butler responded. But this didn't stop him from chasing the man, who had covered his face with the umbrella. Butler tried to hold the tip of the brolly to uncover the man's face. 'Did you know what your daughter was doing online?' Butler again asked the man. The man responded by asking Butler to stop touching his brolly. Butler scurried behind the man in a desperate bid to get some answers when the man opened his umbrella without realising it had hit Butler in the face Earlier Butler tried to chase and interview his 29-year-old daughter Lydia Abdelmalek, who also didn't respond to any of his questions. 'We just need to know why did you do this,' Butler asked Ms Abdelmalek, as he and his cameraman followed her first into the parking area and then onto a street. 'You harassed people online, your best friends. 'How do you feel about what happened to the victim of yours who took her own life? Do you feel any responsibility for that? 'You are a catfish, you are probably Australia's worst catfish.' Earlier Butler tried to chase and interview his 29-year-old daughter Lydia Abdelmalek, who also didn't respond to any of his questions Butler continued asking her questions without getting any response. 'You are a god fearing woman. Why did you assume someone else's identity and all other identities and trick people and traumatise them,' he asked. 'What sort of person stalks and harrasses people like that? A Melbourne court recently found Ms Abdelmalek guilty of stalking six people. She impersonated Home and Away star Lincoln Lewis and allegedly blackmailed young women, including her best friend. Ms Abdelmalek will be sentenced in June.
