A man and a woman have been charged over a little girl's 'catastrophic' brain injury after they allegedly failed to seek medical attention for three days.
A 39-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman who were 'known to the child' were extradited from Queensland to Tweed Heads in New South Wales on Wednesday.
The man allegedly injured the child at a holiday rental home north east of Grafton and did not seek medical attention until three days later.
The toddler remains a serious condition after suffering 'life threatening injuries' and being admitted to Maclean District Hospital on Tuesday, March 12.
