Hungry Jack's will introduce a vegan Whopper burger where the fake meat even bleeds like the real thing.
The company's billionaire boss, Jack Cowin, has invested $1 million towards creating a plant-based burger, where the meat will be replaced by a patty made of Australian-grown legumes such as peas or soybeans.
The modified Whopper will be designed to smell, taste and look like a freshly cooked patty, Mr Cowin told The Australian Financial Review.
