A former Home And Away actor accused of breaking a female police officer's nose tried to apologise in court before his lawyer told him it would be in his best interest to keep silent.
Keiren Patrick Noonan, 32, was drinking in a bar in Sydney's Darling Harbour early on Sunday morning when he was asked to leave the venue by security.
The Irish-born actor and tradesman was allegedly approached by plain-clothes police officers who identified themselves after he refused to leave.
Police allege that Mr Noonan pushed one officer before he punched the female officer in the face - fracturing her nose and shattering her teeth.
