President Donald complained Monday about Democrats trying to impeach him as he caught up U.S. news during his Tokyo trip. 

'Impeach for what, having created perhaps the greatest Economy in our Country’s history, rebuilding our Military, taking care of our Vets (Choice), Judges, Best Jobs Numbers Ever, and much more?' he said. 'Dems are Obstructionists!'

Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna Romney McDaniel had put Democratic Congresswoman and detractor Rashida Tlaib on blast after the Michigan representative made the case for 's impeachment on 'Meet the Press.' 

She said Tlaib 'continues to obsess over impeachment' and claimed Democrats want to impeach 'because they don’t have any other message heading into 2020 and they’re scared they can’t beat him at the ballot box.'

At a news conference on Monday afternoon local time in Tokyo, an American president asked about his pledge to cut off contact with the Democrats until they drop their investigations into him.

His refusal to work with Democrats to pass legislation could make it hard to fulfill his campaign promises, the journalist noted.

'Certainly as things get approved, I would love to sign them. It's only good for our country,' he said. 'I'm only interested in what's good for our country.  It's very important.'

In the U.S. the topic had come up in Tlaib's interview on 'Meet the Press.' She insisted impeachment is not an election tactic.  

Tlaib pointed to 's executive action on Friday morning that allowed an arms sale to Saudi Arabia to go through, bucking Congress.
