President Donald Trump complained Monday about Democrats trying to impeach him as he caught up U.S. news during his Tokyo trip. 'Impeach for what, having created perhaps the greatest Economy in our Country’s history, rebuilding our Military, taking care of our Vets (Choice), Judges, Best Jobs Numbers Ever, and much more?' he said. 'Dems are Obstructionists!' Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna Romney McDaniel had put Democratic Congresswoman and Trump detractor Rashida Tlaib on blast after the Michigan representative made the case for Trump's impeachment on 'Meet the Press.' She said Tlaib 'continues to obsess over impeachment' and claimed Democrats want to impeach Trump 'because they don’t have any other message heading into 2020 and they’re scared they can’t beat him at the ballot box.' President Donald Trump complained Monday about Democrats trying to impeach him as he caught up U.S. news during his Tokyo trip Trump retweeted his party's chairwoman and fired back at Tlaib in a tweet that said: 'The Dems are getting NOTHING done in Congress! They only want a Do-Over on Mueller!' At a news conference on Monday afternoon local time in Tokyo, an American president asked Trump about his pledge to cut off contact with the Democrats until they drop their investigations into him. His refusal to work with Democrats to pass legislation could make it hard to fulfill his campaign promises, the journalist noted. 'Certainly as things get approved, I would love to sign them. It's only good for our country,' he said. 'I'm only interested in what's good for our country. It's very important.' In the U.S. the topic had come up in Tlaib's interview on 'Meet the Press.' She insisted impeachment is not an election tactic. Tlaib pointed to Trump's executive action on Friday morning that allowed an arms sale to Saudi Arabia to go through, bucking Congress. He took to Twitter to voice his frustrations and claimed he had created the 'greatest economy in the country's history' Trump retweeted his party's chairwoman and fired back at Tlaib in a tweet that said: 'The Dems are getting NOTHING done in Congress! They only want a Do-Over on Mueller!' 'The first time historically did we exercise our war powers and said no more arm deals, no more kind of interaction with helping the Yemeni humanitarian crises through our relationship with Saudi Arabia. And he turned around and pretty much ignored the Congress's decision. A bipartisan decision,' she said. She said Trump believes that he is above the law, and he's making it impossible for Congress to do its job. 'Look, this is not about the 2020 election. It's about doing what's right now for our country. This is going to be a precedent that we set when we don’t hold this president accountable to the rule of the law and to the United States Constitution,' she said. Tlaib accused him of broad abuses of power from his rejection of subpoenas to alleged violations of the U.S. Constitution. 'A lot of the corruption that you see through the Oval Office is already seeping into the halls of Congress. I can tell you from day one, this president has misled Congress, has undermined his own cabinet members and has lied to the American people,' she said. Standing next to the Japanese prime minister at Asakaka Palace in Japan, the U.S. president repeated a claim that there has 'never been a president more transparent' and the Mueller report cleared him of obstruction and collusion. 'And Bob Mueller, I guess you could say he wasn't a friend of mine, but he did something that was really the right think to do. They were very disappointed, they can't get over the fact that I never spoke to Russia, never dealt with Russia, ; he said. 'And I will say, without question, we have done a job that few presidents have done.' He suggested Democrats are jealous of the economy he has created, and that's why they're trying to push him out. 'So, I think that we will work with them,' he said, bringing up the U.S. Mexico Canada trade agreement as an example of possible overlap. 'I would imagine that Nancy Pelosi will approve that. I think it would be very hard not to, but we'll see.'All rights reserved for this news site dailymail and under his responsibility
