tweets stylized Memorial Day video after Republican slams him for 'taking ...

President Donald Trump tweeted out solemn remembrances of the sacrifices of U.S. troops in honor of Memorial Day from Japan, following a weekend trip where potential new military conflicts loom and a rival blasted his own avoidance of military service.

The president tweeted out an image of himself with his head bowed while taking part during a wreath-laying ceremony on a day where the nation mourns troops who gave the ultimate sacrifice.

The president visited Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia shortly before his trip to Japan, which placed him abroad during the national holiday. While there, Trump toasted Emperor Naruhito in Japan and took part in a six-course meal at a state banquet at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo.

Trump also tweeted out a Hollywood-style video with images of grave sites at Arlington, backed by solemn music.

'Honor them,' said a caption. 'We remember on this day our beloved sons, daughters, sisters, brothers, spouses, friends and neighbors. Patriots who served.' The video then showed a woman, children, and a service member placing flags at grave-sites in the hallowed cemetery.

Trump's message to the nation came on a trip where he once again attacked his political enemies and questioned why Democrats would want to impeach him.

A day earlier, GOP Rep. Adam Kinzinger questioned Trump's tweet that attacked former Vice President Joe Biden as a 'low IQ' individual, and gave support to North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un's decision to conduct a missile launch.
