English author Daphne du Maurier, who penned novels including Rebecca and Jamaica Inn, lived less than a mile away, and set many of her books in the area.  

Also nearby are the ruins of St Catherine's Castle, which dates from the 16th Century.  

The cottage has been with its current owners for more than a decade and they have given it a complete restoration and refurbishment.

On the ground floor is a charming entrance hall, three bedrooms and a family shower room.

Upstairs there is an additional bedroom along with a generous sitting room - which doubles up as a dining room - and a quirky kitchen which has doors out to a breathtaking balcony.
