A Tennessee district attorney is facing calls to resign after he declared that he wouldn't protect LGBTQ folks under domestic violence laws because he did not believe in same-sex marriage.
Craig Northcott, a district attorney in Coffee County, made the comments while at the 2018 Chafer Theological Seminary Pastor's Conference last March. He had been giving a speech on the church's role in government.
