An Ohio man has died after a rented green super car speeding through Las Vegas smashed into his parked car in a suspected DUI.

Joshua David Badell, 39, of Greenwood, Ohio, was believed to be sleeping in the passenger seat of his car, in the Metropilitan area of Las Vegas, when it was struck by the 2018 McLaren 570S.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) report that the green vehicle was travelling southbound at a 'high rate of speed' on South Pecos Road and Tropicana Avenue.

Failing to 'maintain the lane', the driver 'lost control' of the vehicle, running off the side of the road and hitting Badell's 2000 Toyota Camry.

Bystanders try to help moments after the collision, racing to the scene of the rented green McLaren 570S and Badell's 2000 Toyota Camry
