An Ohio man has died after a rented green super car speeding through Las Vegas smashed into his parked car in a suspected DUI. Joshua David Badell, 39, of Greenwood, Ohio, was believed to be sleeping in the passenger seat of his car, in the Metropilitan area of Las Vegas, when it was struck by the 2018 McLaren 570S. Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) report that the green vehicle was travelling southbound at a 'high rate of speed' on South Pecos Road and Tropicana Avenue. Failing to 'maintain the lane', the driver 'lost control' of the vehicle, running off the side of the road and hitting Badell's 2000 Toyota Camry. Nearby business owner, Paul Klein, of 702 Motoring, heard the frightening crash happen in front of his business at around 4.12am on Sunday Jun 2, and raced out. Connie Foureman Stollar, who claims to have met Badell when he was around 15-years-old, shared that the news was 'tragic,' 'heartbreaking' and 'beyond words' in a post online. She said: 'Heaven received another angel yesterday. Joshua left us too soon and suddenly - he was a victim of an auto accident. 'Josh’s laugh was infectious and everyone that knew him loved him.' Facebook user Stollar shared her memories of Badell, describing herself as 'beyond words' and her 'heart is broken' Badell graduated from Greenville High School as part of class of 1998. On a Facebook page for alumni, those who knew him posted their condolences. Yulanda Wolfe, wrote: Sad news. Josh was an amazing soul. Prayers to the family. Another user, Peter Northview left the comment: 'Cant stop crying,I love you brother. God needs you big guy' Captain Farese pleaded, 'We have to stop this madness,' demanding people stop driving under the influence Captain Nick Farese, Bureau Commander, of LVMPD Traffic Bureau, released a video at the scene of the fatal collision pleading with the public. 'We have to stop this madness,' he said. 'Las Vegas I'm at the scene of another fatal collision, this one involving another impaired driver. 'It's too late for a sorry when this happens we have to stop driving impaired ... that person ain't going home to their family anymore.' Police reports reveal that this is the 50th fatal crash in the Las Vegas Metro jurisdiction in 2019 so far. Captain Farese wrote online: 'This is not an accident! We do not ACCIDENTALLY get into our car after becoming impaired!!
