Flight FR4079 took off at 8.30am Spanish time and was due to arrive into Newcastle two hours later. It was en route to the north east when a 7700 was declared, which is a general emergency alert. The plane turned around and did a loop so it could fly into Bordeaux, according to an online flight tracker. MailOnline has contacted Ryanair for comment. More to follow.
