An area that often sees humpback whales during this time of year had a surprise visit from a rare guest when a killer whale showed up alongside a boat scouting for much smaller fish off the coast of Massachusetts.

Captain Kelly Zimmerman of Got Stryper Charters and Baits filmed the orca racing with a pod dolphins for an unbelievable 22 seconds, during a 15-hour jaunt into the ocean after launching from Chatham. 

'My heart was pounding out of my chest when it came beside the boat,' Zimmerman told the Boston Globe.

The killer whale and the dolphins were spotted about 70 miles off of Cape Cod, during a 15-hour tuna scouting expedition where Zimmerman and his crew also spotted between 100-150 other whales, which are known to feed in the area, and a handful of sharks.
