James Conmy a senior executive at insurance brokerage firm Guy Carpenter sent an email to fellow brokers about some baked goods he'd brought in to celebrate his birthday. The email, which referenced his colleague Soraya Faoussi, said: 'There are donuts on Alf's desk as it is my birthday today. 'I hope people like Krispy Kremes – I know Soraya enjoys a glazed ring.' There are limits to 'jokes' you can send at work copying in all colleagues - this is extremely rude and offensive. 'Please note that this will be forwarded to HR - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!' Conmy has now been suspended in relation to the email, the Insurance Post reports. He is believed to earn up to £150,000 a year. The firm is part of Marsh, one of the world’s biggest insurance brokers. 'Those involved in sending and externally disseminating this email have been suspended from the firm pending further investigation.'
