A Britain's Got Talent star sent her boyfriend 'fond and intimate' photographs just hours before he killed her, the Old Bailey heard today.
Ex-soldier Desmond Sylva, 41, allegedly 'butchered' Simonne Kerr, knifing her repeatedly to her face, neck and body after she went to see him at his flat in Clapham, south London, last August 15.
Jurors have heard the 31-year-old 'did not stand a chance' during the frenzied attack.
Sylva, who had previously been diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder along with bipolar disorder, has admitted manslaughter by diminished responsibility due to his depression but denies murder.
In her closing speech his barrister Rebecca Trowler QC told the jury: 'Yes, Mr Sylva was in July and going into early August plainly hoping to get the relationship back to where they left off.
'They were after all previously in a sexual relationship and his evidence in the face of accusation after accusation that he wanted to have sex with her, as if that was a crime in itself, is he came back and said: 'Yes, I wanted a relationship, yes, I was flirty', but he wanted a normal relationship.
'By 28 July he is asking her to come over but importantly she is asking him if he wants to come to over to her.
