A teenage girl and a 24-year-old man have been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a man linked to a rape in London.

Adrian Murphy, 43, was found dead at his ransacked Battersea home on Tuesday and police linked his 'suspicious' death with the alleged drugging and rape of a man in Walthamstow.

A 17-year-old girl and a man, 24, have now been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of Mr Murphy.

The alleged rape victim, 40, told police he met a man on the app Grindr and invited him back to his home on May 30.

He claims he was drugged by the man and later taken to hospital after a friend found him unconscious.

The man was taken to Whipps Cross Hospital and has since been discharged.

His flat had been ransacked while he was unconscious and property including laptops, mobile phones, a wallet and cash, stolen.

Police said a man and a teenage girl have been arrested in connection with both matters and officers are concerned there may be further offences.
