A wannabe jihadist who was arrested at the airport while trying to fly to Syria to join ISIS has walked free from jail after two years behind bars.
Western Sydney man Moudasser Taleb, 24, was arrested at the Sydney Airport after being caught in an undercover police operation.
When he arrived at the airport in June 2017 intending to head to the Middle East to fight for ISIS, police arrested him.
He was released on Friday after spending two years behind bars, and said he wanted to 'move on with my life'.
'I'm happy with the result, I'd like to thank the judge for releasing me and I want to put this all behind me and move on with my life,' he said.
He also said his family and a job were his priorities now.
Taleb celebrated his first day of freedom by enjoying a hot chocolate, strawberries and some waffles along with his brother and lawyers, The Daily Telegraph reported.
