Actor and children's rights advocate Corey Feldman has revealed his efforts to protect child actors from a systemic pedophilia problem in Hollywood have hit a brick wall.

Feldman, 47, claims movie studios, senior film executives and even the Screen Actors Guild have all essentially ignored his concerns - a year after he first raised them.

The former child star, a victim of sex abuse himself, has repeatedly voiced his concern that Hollywood is still a hot bed of child sex predators and pedophile rings.

His movement #Kids2 aims to introduce sweeping regulations which will provide safety and protection for children working on movie sets.

But in an exclusive interview with DailyMailTV, a visibly frustrated Feldman said: 'Nobody wants to admit that it is real, they all want to put plugs in their ears and think that what I am saying is crazy.'

Feldman said: 'I have tried talking to SAG about it and I am continuing to talk with SAG and hoping they start some sort of reform.

'I already have a plan and system that could work. But they would have to listen to it and take it seriously.'

In March 2018, Feldman was optimistic about change after meeting SAG executives over the employment and welfare of youngsters.

However, he claims they have not delivered on any of their promises.

His firm belief is that members of the executive team at SAG fear that going public with any significant industry changes would be a clear admission that child sex abuse is happening right on their doorstep.

Feldman says Hollywood has tried to cover up child sex abuse for decades and he claims senior movie industry figures are still trying to silence and discredit him through a 'distraction campaign.'

'They have done all they have done, all they can to twist and turn my perception so that people have a lesser respect of me, don't take me seriously or try to make me look crazy,' he said

The controversial child star of hit movies The Goonies and Lost Boys claims that as many as one in five industry personnel are part of the elaborate cover up, framing it as a giant conspiracy on the same level as the Catholic Church's child grooming scandal and the US Olympic gymnastic squad doctor Larry Nassar's mass abuse of athletes.

'There is nothing more important than preserving the innocence of our children. Game over,' Feldman explained passionately.

'At the end of the day there is a reason that people do not want to admit it and face it…because it is so dark and so scary that we cannot admit to ourselves as a society that this happens.'

Feldman hopes a change will come with the release of a new film he's been working on about his best friend Corey Haim's abuse and its implications.

Beset with legal problems and funding issues, Feldman says he might be forced to borrow around $2million for a distribution deal for The Rape Of Two Coreys.

Feldman has endured a rollercoaster past three years.

He was widely mocked on social media for his hoodie clad pop performance on The Today Show in 2016.
