Already convicted of raping a 58-year-old homeless woman and pleasuring himself in front of a 77-year-old, former NFL tight end Kellen Winslow Jr. will be retried on the eight charges that were left undecided by the jury in his recently-completed sexual assault trial.
The decision was announced Friday in San Diego County Superior Court in Vista. The new trial is expected to begin on September 30.
The 35-year-old married father of two was convicted Monday of raping a 58-year-old homeless woman and two counts of lewd conduct involving two other women.
The jury deadlocked on remaining charges, including two counts of rape, and the judge declared a mistrial.
He now faces eight years in prison on the rape conviction alone.

The judge denied Winslow's request to be released on $1 million bail and home confinement.
Winslow was initially arrested in 2018 after authorities said they found ties to him and two alleged break-ins at the home of a 71-year-old woman on June 1 and an 86-year-old woman on June 7 in the Pacific beach town of Encinitas, north of San Diego.
After posting bail, he was arrested again on the additional charges of raping two women, a 54-year-old female hitchhiker in March of 2018 and a 58-year-old homeless female in May of 2018. Both women were attacked in Encinitas. He was accused of kidnapping the 54-year-old.
Also in May of 2018, a 57-year-old woman accused Winslow of exposing himself to her. Another woman stepped forward to say she had been attacked by him when she was 17, according to the investigation.
While Winslow was out on $2 million bail, he was arrested for lewd conduct in front of a 77-year-old woman at a gym on two separate occasions in February of this year.

The son and namesake of the Chargers tight end and Pro Football Hall of Famer, Winslow Jr. grew up in San Diego before attending the University of Miami and getting drafted sixth overall by the Cleveland Browns in the 2004 NFL Draft. He played 10 seasons for five teams, including the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New York Jets, and had his best year in 2007 when he finished with 1,106 receiving yards and was named to the AFC Pro Bowl team.

In 2005, Winslow famously suffered a severe leg injury while riding a motorcycle in an empty parking lot outside of Cleveland. He sustained torn ligaments in his right knee and was placed on the Physically Unable-to-Perform list.
Winslow Jr. was charged with drug possession in 2014 after a woman called police because she believed he was masturbating in his car, which was parked outside a Target in East Hanover, New Jersey. He was eventually given a conditional discharge after being accused of having synthetic marijuana.
Sports Illustrated recently published an explosive piece, detailing Winslow Jr's alleged history of inappropriate sexual behavior, including watching pornographic videos during team meetings, masturbating in shared hotel rooms and traveling with an anatomically accurate woman's torso fashioned out of silicone.
According to SI's reporting, which relied on two anonymous teammates and three unnamed former team officials from his playing days, Winslow became notorious for watching copious amounts of pornography in socially inappropriate situations and compulsively masturbating.
