The teenager who was shot in the arm on a Surfers Paradise balcony had been may have he was targeted for 'playing music too loudly', according to reports. 

Hayden Miller, from Coomera, Gold Coast, was standing on a balcony at a hotel located on the corner of Cavill Avenue and the Gold Coast Highway at around 10.45pm on Saturday, when he was shot. 

Mr Miller had been celebrating his birthday when an argument about noise broke out between hotel guests and resulted in the 'random' shooting, police said.
