Officers tried to stop a Land Rover Discovery that was being 'driven erratically' on Wood End Road in Erdington, Birmingham at around 4.10am when the vehicle collided with another police car that had been passing by and was not involved in the operation. An officer sustained pelvic, leg and shoulder injuries following the crash, and remains in a serious but stable condition in hospital. A 37-year-old-man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and driving whilst unfit through drink or drugs.
