A gang of more than 100 young people bombarded police with bottles and missiles in Lawless London in East London last night.
The crowd threw bottles and missiles at police outside the bus station, near Westfield shopping centre.
In the video, terrified shoppers and members of the public can be heard screaming as the violent scenes unfolded.
Four officers were injured during the turmoil. It is not clear what sparked the incident, but police were responding to reports of a robbery.

It comes after London's streets have been beset with yet more violence, as three people were murdered over the weekend, with the city's murder toll rising to 59 this year.
An 18-year-old student and a 19-year-old man were shot and stabbed to death within 12 minutes of each other in separate attacks in London.
Cheyon Evans, 18, was stabbed to death in Tooting, south west London, at 4.42pm on Friday.
Witnesses told the Times that he was set upon by a gang of teenagers and was stabbed up
