A girl was flung into a trailer as a 'tornado' ripped through a family event and even lifted two bouncy castles off the ground.  

Esmae-Sherren Bonser, three, was flung head first from her father's shoulders and into a trailer at the Picnic in the Park event in Howden, East Riding after a freak 'tornado' struck.

The youngster was blown from her father's shoulders in the sudden gust and had to be rushed to hospital in an ambulance.

Esmase, three, was one of four people injured during the freak gust of wind that lifted two bouncy castles from their moorings and ploughed one into a nearby group of trees. Thankfully, they had been evacuated just moment earlier

Esmae, who was left temporarily unable to walk afterwards and with a pain in her neck, was one of four people injured at the event.

Ms Hollowell says the 'very scary experience' left her daughter 'battered and bruised' but says it could have been much worse if it were not for the quick-thinking of family members.
