Road signs featuring a hedgehog will be installed across the UK warning drivers to be wary of wildlife.
They will be placed in areas with high accident rates and large numbers of small animals – including otters, squirrels and badgers.
Latest figures show that in 2017, 629 people were injured in accidents involving an animal in the road – excluding horses – and four were killed.
