Two shoppers in south-west China have narrowly escaped unharmed after an escalator they were on collapsed.
Horrifying footage shows several metal panels breaking and crumbling right behind the two men as soon as they stepped on the upward escalator at a mall in Wuzhou city, Guangxi region on Saturday.
The pair immediately ran up the steps and successfully made it to the second level unscathed, according to local reports.
